Thanks for stopping by. I am an eager photographer and designer and aim to explore and experiment with these mediums throughout my career. This site mainly features my photography escapades with Turlough O’Shea . You will also see some college projects and elements of design, be it User Interface or Interaction Design throughout. I am available for freelance work be it in photography, design or creating a wordpress website for you or your business.
Below you will find a selection of some of my favorite pieces of work. I hope that you enjoy looking through them as much as I have enjoyed capturing them. You can view an extended collection under the Photography section.
Below you will see a selection of projects I have worked on.
Final Year Project.
Final Year Project. The aim of my FYP was to research and design a mobile application for UL students, tailoring the design to their needs as users in a college campus setting. The project involved wireframing using Axure, prototyping and creating a final design in Photoshop. You can read the full report here or view the interactive demo.
Design Visualisation. This was a third year module during my time at UL. The aim was to learn and demonstrate Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and Sketchbook by Autodesk skills and recreate everyday objects. We then had to compile our works into a document created in Adobe InDesign.
SolidWorks 3D Modelling.
SolidWorks 3D Modelling.Another module from college undertaken in my third year was SolidWorks 3D Modelling. An electric can opener was the object which had to be disassembled, examined and modelled in SolidWorks. A video showing the can opener in its complete form and exploded view.
UI & Icon Design.
UI & Icon Design.Cooperative Evaluation is a period in the University of Limerick get to take part in work experience for 8 months. I carried out my placement with Bayinteractive in San Francisco. Here is a snippet of some of the projects for which I aided the design work with the assistance and supervision of my colleagues.
Do Not Paint Here. This video documentary was the result of a second year video module during my time in college. The video looks at graffiti artists in Limerick city. This was a group project in which each member had different roles and responsibilities in putting the video together.
Sonic Browser. The Interactive Media module in third year of Digital Media Design gave me the opportunity to develop a Adobe Flash Project. The project was to create a Sonic Browser, a software tool that allows the user to navigate among sounds in a 2D space and also for managing a large amount of sounds. Pop on some headphones and try my Nintendo themed Sonic Browser here.
